Flagship
Recordings was a full-service music company featuring artists like Tremolo,
Eugene Edwards
and Brett Dennen.
In June 2005, Flagship released The Vanity Project, featuring Steven
Page of Barenaked Ladies,
my all-time favorite band. Working with Marc Nathan on Flagship Recordings
was something I am very thankful for. Not only to work on a project that is
creative and fun, promoting good music, but also being able to really support
the solo creative efforts of Steven Page, one of my all-time favorite artists,
and someone I deeply respect. Fonts used: Futura and American Typewriter.
Warmdown.com was a web site for competitive runners to record and keep track of their times
online, as well as communicate with fellow runners. They wanted something
offbeat and funky -- something with a sense of fun. They have since redesigned
their site, and have changed their logo. Fonts used: Hootie and Typewriter
Rough.
Phero-Tan
was a suntan lotion made by Body Science, Inc. that contains natural pheromones,
to help attract the opposite sex. We wanted something fun, funky and summer-like
that could also work in a single color on an iridescent foil label. Since
Body Science uses all natural ingredients in its products, we wanted a design
that also has an organic feel. The sketchy sun gives us that organic, natural
feeling. Fonts used: Spumoni and Myriad.
Sinergy
was an herbal supplement that contains Ephedra sinca extract, Korean Ginseng,
Guarana and Yurba Leaf to create a "synergistic" effect and power
rush. The name "Sinergy" is a play on the words "synergy"
and "sinca." We wanted an energetic design to reflect the nature
of the product. Fonts used: Greymantle and Cutout.
NetSight
was a web design and hosting company with a young, energetic staff. We wanted
an edgy and funky design to reflect the energy of the company, yet simple
enough to reproduce well both online and in print. The red square can easily
be altered for use with other colors, depending on the situation. Font
used: Linenstroke.
Prodige
was a natural herbal supplement that offered a healthier, long-term alternative
to Viagra. It was one of Playboy's best-selling catalog items. We wanted something
that could be elegant and sensual, and work with both gender symbols equally.
We wanted to use colors that suggested the genders, without using the cliché
pink and baby blue. The teal and burgundy are more sophisticated, adult shades
that communicate the same message. Fonts used: Goudy Catalog and Carpenter.
RITSCI
is the science fiction club at Rochester Institute of Technology. I was one
of the founding members, and I designed this logo for all of our promotional
materials, including posters, letterhead, rubber stamps and T-shirts. I wanted
something very simple and contemporary. The red circle inside the "C"
is sybmolic of a planet or sun, with the "C" forming sort of a ring
around it. An earlier incarnation of the logo featured a planet with a ring.
Fonts used: Futura.
